RMIT authors showcase - Dr. Belinda Kennedy and Dr. Tricia McLaughlin

At RMIT University Library we are extremely proud of our academics and their contributions to research in their fields of expertise. As part of our showcase of RMIT authors, we are delighted to feature a work that includes a chapter titled “Growing Global STEM learning in Higher Education” co-written by two RMIT University academics, Dr. Belinda Kennedy and Dr. Tricia McLaughlin, in the text,“Cultural Awareness and Competency Development in Higher Education” (2017).

Belinda Kennedy is a project manager (NAS project, WIL) and lecturer in the College of Science, Engineering and Health at RMIT University. Her educational research studies in STEM have provided her with a clear understanding of the needs of industry and future students in STEM-related areas.

Tricia McLaughlin works in the College of Design and Social Context at RMIT University and is a senior officer in the Science, Health and Engineering Educational Research (SHEER) Centre. Her research areas of interest include lifelong learning, pathways, scholarship learning and teaching, and access and equity in learning.

"Cultural Awareness and Competency Development in Higher Education”
explores a diverse range of topics including inclusive STEM learning, pedagogy, social constructivism and co-curricular learning designed for researchers and students seeking the latest literature on multiculturism and culturally diverse curriculums in universities.
